FROM THE CALIFORNIA-MEXICO BORDER TO THE BEACHES OF OREGON...AND BEYOND....
Connor Berryhill, aka The MicroActivist, has set his eyes on a new goal...starting at the California Mexico border, he plans to head north cleaning beaches and inspiring other kids to join in the MicroActivist movement. What started as a young boy determined to clean the oceans, has turned into an ever-growing group of kids that are inspired to save the ocean they love by cleaning up beaches, committing to recycling, and reducing their overall plastic usage....and they have a blast doing it!
As Connor says "Never tell a kid something is impossible, we kids eat impossible for breakfast! I'm only 10, so I'm still not all that good at knowing just how far I'll get, but I plan to walk till, well there's no more trash left to pick up. Without help, I think it could be a while, but that's the thing, I know help is coming, it always does.
There are many times I will be alone, but there are those special times, those times when other Microactivist kids will join in, and together we show what a bunch of determined ocean loving kids can do! I haven't lived long but I've already learned that if what you're doing, needs doing... people, especially other kids, they're gonna pitch in to make it right! That's really what this trash walk is all about, meeting up with other awesome kids and their grown-ups to show others that us kids really do care about the ocean, and that we really can do something about it."
The journey has now begun. Keep checking in to see the beaches Connor visits on his ongoing quest to clean our coast, one beach at a time.
"Come join me, I'll be passing through a beach near you! Just Sign Up below and my Mom will be sending out beach clean up updates!"
